The Nil Teak Player of the week is Robin Gomez, with an outstanding performance with the both bat and ball, to guide Global CC to an outstanding victory over Hornbills CC .

Hornbills v Global, played on 27.5.17 at Ford Sports Ground Newbury Park.

Hornbills won the toss on a sunny breezy day and put Global in to bat. Hornbills opening bowlers Prince and Hari bowled superbly to reduce Global to 9 runs for 5 wickets after 7 overs.

Global 's innings was rescued by an excellent partnership between Tiss who hit 28 runs and Robin who made 30, before the last few wickets fell to good bowling by Anish ( 4 for 29) .

Fazal played well at the end to help Global reach 80. Prince finished with 4 wickets for 12 runs, Hari had 2 wickets for 8 runs.

The Global captain Mishal rallied his team at the break to fight back with early wickets being crucial, which Tiss and Ajith managed to get. The day belonged to Robin Gomez who followed up by his batting performance with a devastating spell of bowling to take 6 wickets for 18 runs, restricting Hornbills to just 37 runs all out. Robin credited his man of the match heroics to his improved lifestyle and fitness.
