Formed in 1993 by a group of friends at Croydon, the team has been a permanent fixture in UKMCL ever since its inception. The team has a rich heritage of having many prominent players being part of the club over this period. Phoenix has won the League cup three times and was League runner up on two occasions. Team Phoenix believes in playing with the true spirit of the game with absolute professionalism and commitment to the sport and intends to provide the right opportunity for all team members to express themselves; The team is guided by experienced players like Manilal Raman (Manny), Venu Pillai, Badusha Karim, Ajith Pillai and Manilal Viswambaran, active members of UKMCL and played a crucial role in promoting cricket within Croydon and London. A team of passionate young players supports them to form a fine balance of experience and talent. Team Phoenix is looking forward to a successful UKMCL 2022 outing.
